PLM Group expands business with the acquisition of CAE Consult Scandinavia AS
Today March 29, 2023, PLM Group announces the acquisition of the Norwegian SOLIDWORKS reseller CAE Consult Scandinavia to further expand the offer to the Norwegian CAD market, ensure technical proficiency throughout, and keep up with increasing customer demands.
This acquisition is a natural development to broaden the offer to the Norwegian market. The consolidation of knowledge and business areas means that customers of both PLM Group and CAE Consult Scandinavia can benefit from even higher technical proficiency and an increased number of customer support agents. Thus, it will be possible to create a company that is truly dedicated to providing tailored services to a growing market and making even more customers innovate.
Lars Green, General Manager of PLM Group believes the acquisition will strengthen the offer to Norwegian CAD customers. It will also ensure that they have a steady partner in a dynamic market moving forward. He says:
“The CAD and PLM industry is continuously evolving, and this merger will provide new opportunities for both companies. We believe that by combining our expertise and resources, we can truly be dedicated to serving our expanded customer base, allowing them to achieve the goals of their innovative efforts.”
Lars Kvendbø, CEO and founder of CAE Consult Scandinavia, will stay on together with the new owners to ensure a smooth transition until the end of 2023. He has the following to say about the acquisition:
“We are trusting the company and our customers in the hands of a qualified, stable, and reliable owner. Here at CAE Consult Scandinavia, we recognize the need for larger actors due to the current state of the developing market. The merger with PLM Group enables us to deliver even greater value to both our customers and the team at CAE Consult Scandinavia.”
This merger means that the processes and systems of PLM Group and CAE Consult Scandinavia will unite. There will not be any noticeable changes for the customers.
According to Gunnar Olsen current CTO of CAE Consult Scandinavia, the capacity for support services and trainings will benefit from this expansion:
“By merging our organizations in Norway, we will become a solid and reliable partner for all our customers. The increase in capacity ensures the delivery of excellent customer support and coordination of our course activities. We also benefit from having a large organization behind us to be able to develop great technical solutions for all our customers. We look forward to becoming part of a larger group and at the same time we want to make sure that we retain our uniqueness and close relationship with our customers.”
The combined experience of PLM Group and CAE Consult Scandinavia adds up to well over 60 years. This merger will ensure that the practice of human-to-human interaction and the personalized offering of CAD and PLM solutions can continue for the unforeseeable future.
